General Information
Welcome to Blandford Art Society’s first Online Exhibition! We sincerely hope you enjoy browsing through our Members’ artwork and enjoy seeing what we have been doing during this very difficult year. Our Exhibition is being posted on our public Facebook page as well as our website.
There were three categories which our Members could specifically paint towards, apart from submitting work of their own choice:-
Each winning picture is marked as such in the Exhibition.
Warning
While every effort has been made to ensure the photographs are representative of the originals, there may be some slight colour differences. If you are interested in buying an artwork, we recommend you arrange to view the painting with the exhibiting artist.
Contacting the Artist Via BAS Facebook Page
Please use Messenger to contact us, giving your name and a contact phone number or email address, which will be passed on to the artist so that he or she can get in touch with you directly.
Contacting the Artist Via BAS Website
Please use our Contact tab on the Home Screen. As well as leaving your email address in the message box, you can also add any other contact details you wish which the artist can use to get in touch.
Paintings for Sale
The measurements beneath each painting are given with the width first, followed by height; this is common practice in the art world.
You will see in the Exhibition which paintings are not for sale, NFS, which is self-explanatory. All other works are for sale.
Purchasing a Painting
It is the responsibility of the artist and the purchaser together to decide on the following:-
BAS will not become involved in any negotiation between the artist and the buyer regarding the price, the method of delivery or any other aspect of the sale. BAS accepts no responsibility for any loss to the artist or the purchaser for any damage to the painting.
Having wandered through our Online Exhibition, you may wish to know more about the Society or, indeed, wish to become a Member. Please feel free to get in touch, as we are always happy to have new Members.

There were three categories which our Members could specifically paint towards, apart from submitting work of their own choice:-
- The Chairman’s Prize, the title of which is On the Horizon. Our Chair, Sue Coke, has chosen the winning painting in this subject.
- Art in Isolation, which was the title of several monthly topics set by our Programme Organiser while the Members were unable to meet. This was judged by Wendy Jump.
- Not so much a competition, as a desire to encourage innovative work by Members, the Most Innovative Work was judged by the Exhibitions Committee.
Each winning picture is marked as such in the Exhibition.

Purchasing a Painting
It is the responsibility of the artist and the purchaser together to decide on the following:-
- The method of delivery and whether this involves further payment, in addition to the advertised price of the picture. There would obviously be no extra payment if the purchaser chooses to collect the work.
- The method of transferring the payment from the purchaser to the artist.
- The delivery of the painting to the purchaser, or the collection by the purchaser.
BAS will not become involved in any negotiation between the artist and the buyer regarding the price, the method of delivery or any other aspect of the sale. BAS accepts no responsibility for any loss to the artist or the purchaser for any damage to the painting.
