September 2023 Meeting Note:
Last Thursday Sue Hamilton-White gave the group an interesting talk about Art Therapy and how she works with young people in the local area. She's really passionate about her work. Over 20 years ago, she set up Untapped (CIC) UK to promote Art Therapy and apply for grants to work on local projects. CIC stands for Community Interest Company but Sue is now working towards making Untapped a charity. You can read more about Untapped on the website (https://untapped.org.uk).
Sue mentioned there was a video looking at how Art Therapy can help and she's now sent me the link to an Audio Image Recording (AIR): https://youtu.be/7GcK83loX4c?si=DfpQ
Do have a look at it if you're interested in the subject.

Our Beginnings...
Formed in 1972 as the 'Blandford Visual Arts Society', the name was
changed three years later to
Blandford Art Society.
Despite the change, the objective was, and still is:-
“ To promote public education in, and appreciation of, the visual arts...
for the promotion, encouragement, and development of talent
of those interested in the visual arts.”
